Upcoming fires: Central Oregon
These fires are being held in connection with the Sacred Fire Community and the many fires that are being lit across the world. The Sacred Fire Community's purpose is to build a global community that rekindles our relationship to each other and the world through the universal and sacred spirit of fire.
We gather at 6pm for potluck/7pm for fire during the fall/winter months (October-March) and at 7pm for potluck/8pm for fire for spring/summer (April-September), unless otherwise noted.
No rain checks! We hold the fires rain, snow, shine! In torrential rain--rare but possible--here in the high desert--we have a tarp to sit under. During the cold months, we recommend that you bring warm blankets to snuggle in--we warm rocks around the firepit to hold, and that helps keep us toasty, too.

My home is on the southeast corner of 8th and Olney (where it turns into Penn). There’s an abandoned house directly on the southeast corner; the next house as you travel south on 8th is mine. Turn into the FIRST DRIVEWAY on the east side of 8th after you go south thru that intersection (on the left hand side if you’re headed south). Blue/gray house with salmon colored door. Unless you’re the first few folks to arrive, you’ll need to park around the neighborhood somewhere and schlep your stuff in.
Reminder: please first enter my backyard to the right of my home (there are white lights to guide you) and drop off your stuff. Depending on the season, you can then bring the food in the house, etc. Please leave boots and shoes at the back door, if we're potlucking-it inside.
No need to RSVP. Do call in advance, though, if you’re wanting directions or other info.
